Shoe Collection is Back!

We are so excited to share that Codrea Financial Services will, once again, be collecting new and gently-used shoes to help support those in need in Central Ohio. This year, we’re proud to announce that all shoes will be donated locally to an amazing local organization, Joseph’s Coat.

Shoe donation is a cause that is near and dear to our hearts. Since the program’s inception in 2012, and thanks to the generosity of our clients, partners, and friends, we have been able to donate nearly 10,000 pair of shoes. Help us reach our goal of 10,000 this year!

It's time to clean out your closets, start your own shoe collection challenge with your family, or partner with your company to create a donation drive in your office - whatever it takes to collect shoes! Let’s get those competitive juices flowing and see who can stake their claim as the 2023 Codrea Financial Shoe Donation Champion.

Learn about Joseph's Coat

After college Jason began golfing and is always open to playing with clients and their friends. In 2008, he decided to get a group together for a small golf outing that started with 44 golfers. This event has grown over the years with over 100 golfers participating each year now. It was in 2012 that Jason went on a mission trip to Haiti. Moved by his experience in the country, Jason decided to start asking golfers to bring shoes to the outing to donate to Haiti and give prizes to those that donated shoes. The first year 150 pairs of shoes were collected and sent to Haiti. The 2018 Codrea Classic Golf Outing had a record of over 2,000 pairs of shoes donated. Approximately 8,000 pairs of shoes have been collected and donated to Lifeline Christian Mission to deliver to Haiti over the years. However, due to Covid restrictions and a shift in the needs of the Haitians, we will NO longer be collecting shoes at the Codrea Classic. We thank everyone for their donations and support over the years! We will still be hosting the Codrea Classic Golf Outing this year and we hope to see you there!
